Birthday video black screen effect

Today I'll be putting together a vlog of my latest rock climbing experience.I am using a few simple tricks from KineMaster to tie it together and take it to the next level.

You can use most of these tricks for editing a vlog on any activity you love. It doesn't have to be rock climbing.Give it a shot and tag KineMaster and me.I'd love to see what you do.

First, you're going to get your shots,

so we're going to shoot it all in one day and pretty quickly.Depending on your activity, you might be able to use footage from different days, but be sure to style yourself the same so your viewers can't tell. Now get your footage. We're going to film one route from start to finish from the same angle and in one long shot.

We'll take some additional B roll footage along the way. Make sure you do this too.I'm always surprised by how often shots from the B roll end up being my favorite, and they can really help tie a vlog together. Now let's edit.Open up the KineMaster app and press the + to create a new project.I'm going to choose the aspect ratio 16:9.

Select Media > Video and access your video via your camera roll. Press Import.Play the video back and find the place where we make our first cut.

Select the clip so it's highlighted and tap Trim / Split and choose Trim to Right of Playhead. This will trim off the excess to the right of the marker.

Now play the second clip, In my case it's a reversal of the first clip.To see where you can best match the positioning of the first clip with the second clip,

find the peak of your activity and match it there. This makes the narrative easy to follow.

Play it back to be sure it aligns seamlessly.Any tiny disconnect here can completely ruin the believability of the video, so it's worth the extra time to make sure it's perfect.

Now go ahead and make any basic tweaks you need.Adjust the lighting, add a Filter.

I'm adjusting the speed to make it a little more fun.Feel free to throw in a visual effect-- or two or three! There are hundreds of assets in the Asset Store to match your style and content.

After choosing each asset, go back to the main screen and place your cursor exactly where you'd like to place each effect.

Tap Layer > Effects and select your effect.I'm using VHS Tracking for a vintage feel.Adjust the filter to fit the whole screen and fit the length to your liking.Repeat as many times as needed.

Here are some alternative ways we could have edited this video. We could have started with the reversed footage. We could have used different filters, try low saturation or mono filters for a vintage feel.

Those would work well with my VHS tracking effect Or try something more vivid for a dramatic look.Use Pan and Zoom to focus on small details.Since we shot our footage in one long take, this could really impact the final product.

Add Clip Graphics for a fun last touch.Use the audio section to add music. This can completely change the energy of a video.I'm going to use something upbeat and fun that makes sense with my content. You can add sound effects here too.

Now let's save and export the final video to the camera roll on the phone.Select the Save button in the top right hand corner and adjust the Resolution and the Frame Rate.Tap Save. You'll see the output video on the list.Open the camera roll to see the video saved here.

If you want to work on this video on another device that also has the KineMaster app,you can save it as a .kine file with all the digital assets. Here's how to do it.On the main screen select See All in my projects.By tapping the three dots in this corner you can rename and export the project to iCloud drive. Now, rename your project.

Happy birthday new background video effects :

I'm calling mine “Climbing at the Aqueducts” In order to access and manage your iCloud files you'll need the app called Files. This app is made by Apple. It's free. It's a native app and generally comes standard when you set up your iPhone. If for some reason you don't have it, go to the App Store and search for the blue folder and download it.Now save it.You can create new folders to organize your files.

I'm calling this one KineMaster.Going back to the iCloud drive. You can find this .kine file and share it.You have several options. You can use AirDrop to share this file to another device. When this device receives the .kine file, it will open it automatically in KineMaster. You can continue editing here.

You can also share this file using text messages, email or other apps like WhatsApp.To work on a KineMaster project, you can open a .kine file from the main screen.Just top Create New, scroll down and import the document file. This is the best way to save and share your work in progress.

KineMaster makes it easy!I love how a quick edit can completely change a video, and the possibilities are endless.Let us know what you'll be vlogging about next, and don't forget to tag us in all your videos.See you next time.
